This leadership position is within the Global Information Technology organization. This Principal Architect role is crucial to ensuring the design and architecture of core systems for seamless integration of our end-to-end direct-to-consumer data and process flows, systems including our Order Management System (OMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Warehouse Management System (WMS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail, digital ecommerce, deep knowledge of system integration, and a passion for optimizing customer experience through technology. They will focus on critical imperatives driving our business growth. This role is essential in ensuring the successful delivery of critical IT programs which support company imperatives, as well understand and assess future architecture opportunities for technology to support and enable Crocs strategy. They will drive and align communications across multiple IT applications. Adaptability is key for success in this role, and the ideal candidate should be able to pivot quickly to address evolving priorities and take on additional responsibilities as required. As a senior leader, they will be interacting with cross functional leaders across Crocs US and international locations.What You'll Do

Lead the architecture and design of integrated systems that support DTC processes, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Contribute to overall IT roadmap plan and strategy, understanding architectural dependencies.Work with the IT Integrations team to design, document, and implement data flows between OMS, ERP, and WMS, ensuring real-time data synchronization and seamless process execution. Work with vendors and technology partners to ensure the solutions integrate well with the existing architecture and meet performance expectations and requirements.Collaborate with integration, security and application subject matter experts to develop and maintain the technical strategy for DTC processes, aligning with business objectives and future growth. Working with IT business systems analysts, analyze and optimize existing data and process flows, identifying areas for improvement in efficiency and customer experience.Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and customer service to ensure alignment and successful implementation of architectural solutions.Communicate to develop architecture and process diagrams and communicate in ways that can be consumed by different levels of the organization with varying degrees of detail to ensure alignment up and down with the same understanding.Ensuring the technology systems are scalable, reliable and built for growth.Develop and maintain architectural documentation that describes current and future technology state, including data flow diagrams, system architecture diagrams, and technical specifications.Design and implement scalable solutions that support both US and international operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address regional needs and challenges.Ensure all systems and processes adhere to global industry standards and regulatory requirements, particularly concerning data security and privacy. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and development teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Identify and mitigate risks across the end-to-end architecture where subject matter expertise required.Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the IT department, encouraging feedback and the adoption of new methodologies.Develop strong relationships with regional leaders, external partners, and vendors.Lead design and architecture for high-priority special projects, ensuring swift execution and timely resolution of critical issues while coordinating cross-functional teams and SaaS partners.What You'll Bring to the Table

10+ years of experience in architecture roles, with a focus on retail and Direct to Consumer commerce systems.Proven experience in designing and implementing integrated solutions involving OMS, ERP, and WMS.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.Expertise in system integration and architecture design.Strong knowledge of data flow design, microservices architecture, and API management.Familiarity with retail technologies and platforms such as SAP, IBM Steering, Manhattan, Aptos, etc.Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.Strong communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.Strong knowledge of IT governance, program management frameworks.Proven experience in driving and managing international programs and implementation.Good understanding of the company’s overall business operations and products.Effectively communication skills to provide technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.Ability to partner with suppliers, business customers, and IT staff on cross-functional projects and service improvements.Strong knowledge of IT business processes and practices.Skills and proven ability to analyze complex problems and break them down into logical, actionable parts.Excellent analytical skills.The Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
