locations.This faculty position will serve as a key member of residency faculty, assisting the Program Director and Associate Program Director in the successful development, operation, and continuous improvement of the behavioral health and wellness curriculum for the Family Medicine Residency Program. Scope of work includes didactic and seminars, direct observation and precepting of residents, resident recruitment, and facilitation of a learning network to implement the Program’s participation in learning collaboratives.Position InformationExciting dual role, serving as Residency Core Faculty and licensed clinical psychologist in the oldest academic department of family and community medicine in the United States. Joint academic appointment with the Departments of Family and Community Medicine and Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. Clinical opportunities include both outpatient and inpatient experiences.Residency Core Faculty ResponsibilitiesDevelopment and administration of the family medicine residency behavioral health curriculumProvision and facilitation of resident behavioral health didactics and seminars, including scheduling guest speakersDirect observation and feedback of resident-patient encountersResident recruitment, retention, and mentorship/coachingAssist Program Director and Associate Program Director in the successful operation and continuous improvement of the Family Medicine Residency ProgramCollaborate on resident research and quality improvement projects, with excellent opportunities for publishing and conference presentationsParticipation (teaching and potential preceptorship) in the Hershey Medical Center’s, APA-approved, Doctoral Psychology Internship Training ProgramParticipation (teaching) in postdoctoral training programsParticipation in the community of psychologists at Penn State Health with psychologists from various academic departmentsClinical Responsibilities2-3 sessions/week of outpatient consulting and behavioral health for your own patient panel1 session/week consulting on the FCM inpatient serviceDepartment Administration ResponsibilitiesPersonal research, publications, and other scholarly activitiesOpportunity to collaborate with the Penn State College of Medicine, including potential for teaching and medical student mentorshipSupport Department initiatives and outreach effortsPlease contact Amber Winters at
