Accountability, Caring and Teamwork DEPARTMENTAL SUMMARY: The Radiology Technologist position provides licensed X-ray Technologists for our General Radiology, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Angio and Cath lab departments at all four St. Charles Hospitals as well as Imaging services at our St. Charles Medical Group clinics. These Technologists provide x-ray services 24/7 for the diagnosis and treatment of patients in the OR, ER, Cath Lab, IR Lab and all patient care floors throughout the hospitals. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Computed Tomography (CT)/Radiology Technologist serves the needs of the patients of St. Charles Health System in the performance of radiological exams, computerized tomography and image reconstruction, while under direct supervision of the radiologist and the Computed Tomography (CT)/Radiology Coordinator, and within the specific policies of the Computed Tomography (CT) Department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: Performs Radiology, Computed Tomography (CT) diagnostic and interventional examinations in accordance with department policies, procedures, and protocols. Follows Health and Safety Policies and Procedures of Quality Care. Assists in record maintenance and statistics as requested. Participates in student training program as requested. Assists with special projects as requested. Provides coverage for Computed Tomography (CT) within St. Charles Health System including on call coverage, holiday and weekend relief as needed. Competent skills working with Computed Tomography (CT) STAT RAD System. Supports the vision, mission and values of the organization in all respects. Supports Value Improvement Practice (VIP- Lean) principles of continuous improvement with energy and enthusiasm, functioning as a champion of change. Two (2) years’ experience in diagnostic radiography. One year experience as a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist.
