Cardiac Electrophysiologist

to join our growing cardiology program. Salem Hospital is an Oregon based not-for-profit Level II Trauma facility with Oregon's largest acute-care hospital. We are licensed for 644 acute-care beds and is home to one of the busiest ER on the West Coast.Our patients receive comprehensive medical services through our robust Medical Group of more than 330 employed providers, including 20 specialties and advanced practice practitioners. Salem Health Medical Group focuses on enhancing the patient experience and providing higher levels of care coordination.Total Rewards Offerings:Up to $100,000 start bonusUp to $100,000 student loan repayment$4,000 annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance200 hours paid time off (PTO) + 40 hours for CMERelocation AssistanceFull comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans; Life insurance; Short and long-term disability401(K) retirement plan with employer contributionsEmployee Assistance ProgramOnsite fitness center with 24/7 badge accessPublic service loan forgiveness (PSLF) eligible employerBackground/Expertise:Graduated from an approved school of medicine.Current unrestricted M.D. Oregon medical license.Current unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number.Successfully completed an ACGME or AOA accredited fellowship training program in Cardiology.Successfully completed an ACGME or AOA fellowship in electrophysiology.Training and experience through achieving Added Qualifications in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology granted by the ABIM or AOA, or ACGME approved fellowship training specific to the electrophysiology privileges being requested.Board Certification in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).Applicants who are not Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease by the ABIM or have Special Qualifications in Cardiology from the AOA, must obtain board certification within five years from completion of the applicable Residency and/or Fellowship program for the privileges being requested at Salem Hospital.For Applicants who were granted core level Cardiology privileges prior to the Board Certification requirement of January 2005, the Board Certification requirement is waived. However, all other requirements with regard to education, training, and current competency must be met.Demonstrate experience and current competency, to include the performance of at least 100 core cardiology procedures in the previous 24 months.Applicant must hold privileges for Moderate Sedation or Deep Sedation privileges.Maintain current American Heart Association ACLS certification.Documentation from Applicant's fellowship training program, certifying Applicant's experience and acceptable complication rate and procedural log is required for Applicant's initial privilege request.If Applicant's training was completed more than 1 year ago, documentation from Applicant's hospital(s) attesting to Applicant's experience, competency, acceptable complication rate and procedural log is required.Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics is an equal opportunity employer.
