Information reported by the background check will not automatically disqualify you from employment.Position Summary/Purpose of Position:IT Network Engineer will have a strong background in cloud-based networking with Azure and AWS, as well as in-depth knowledge of on-premises networking hardware and protocols. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, research acumen, and collaborative project management skills.Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on both cloud-based (Azure, AWS) and on-premises networking.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Profound knowledge of virtual networking and cloud services, including setup, management, and optimization of cloud-based networks.Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and network architecture principles.Strong experience with network security practices, including firewall management and intrusion detection systems.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Obtain TS/SCI clearance.Preferences:
Relevant certifications in Azure or AWS cloud technologies, network security (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP).Prior experience in cybersecurity research or related projects.Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments.Experience in network automation through scripting or programming.Have an Active TS/SCI clearance.Physical Demands:
Sedentary work performed in a normal office environment, spending many hours in front of a computer. Irregular work hours occasionally required to complete tasks or respond to specific IT needs/emergencies in support of ARLIS business operations. Ability to attend events and meetings on and off campus. Must be able to be on site in the office 5 days a week.Posting Information:
