The Principal Solution Analyst - SAP MM is responsible for ensuring SAP MM technology solutions address business requirements and achieve the identified business outcomes. This role will assist subject matter experts with gap analysis/process definitions as part of projects and system enhancements and will also provide a high level of service for break-fix incidents. This is not a developer role.Specialized Skills and Technologies
Proven, hands-on configuration experience in SAP MM including plants, storage locations, material master data, vendor master data, purchase orders, batch inventory management, and logistics invoice verification (MIRO)Demonstrated knowledge of SAP MM configuration and module integration with SAP SD, WM, and FICO especially COPASolid understanding of workflow and of supplier Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) including 810, 850, 846, 855, 856, and 865Good understanding of interfaces with non-SAP applications including but not limited to EDI, file transfer, API, and XMLAble to understand business requirements, write functional specifications, work with developers, test, and support custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflow (RICEFW) objectsExperience in waterfall and Agile methodologiesSAP upgrade experience is a plus (especially from ECC to S/4 HANA)Experience with ServiceNow is a plusPrimary Responsibilities
Act as a lead/subject matter expert (SME) within the Solution Analyst teamApply system solutions to business requirements through the design and configuration of systems platforms and applicationsLead the development of business and technical process documentation and training materialsLead the definition of project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; assist with project budget needsLead the monitoring of project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actionsServe as liaison between Business Divisions/Functions and IT on projects and enhancementsMentor and support development of more junior Solution Analyst team membersPerform other job-related duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business Analysis, Data Management, Business Intelligence5+ years of work experience in a business or technology role working closely with functions outside of IT understanding business processes and needsHigh level of experience in systems development lifecycle models such as Agile or other traditional project management principlesExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong knowledge of business processes and the ability to design, configure, and deploy solutions to support themExperience leading Behavior-Driven-Design (BDD) processExperience gathering of requirements to facilitate automation of acceptance testsProven record of building consensus and buy-in with key stakeholdersAbility to demonstrate Agile delivery values of openness, commitment, respect, courage, and focusPhysical Demands
