There’s no one like you and that’s why there’s nowhere like RSM.A career within RSM’s Corporate Tax services will provide you with the opportunity to help our public and private multinational corporate tax clients meet their accounting for income tax reporting requirements and income tax consulting and compliance obligations, while managing the impact tax has on their business. You’ll advise clients on their tax strategy using both your industry experience and technical expertise with a cross functional team, while delivering a customized technology-enabled service delivery model to facilitate better decision making in achieving our clients’ strategic objectives.As a Tax Senior Associate, you will be responsible for the following job duties which are focused around two core concepts; your technical & quality expertise, and delivering excellent client service:Preparing complex Tax returns – approximately 25-40% of your timeDevelop, motivate, and train staff level and intern team members – approximately 10% of your timeDetailed review and analysis of Tax returns – approximately 10-15%Interact directly with clients handling questions, planning, concerns, etc.Performing, documenting, and summarizing research and conclusions regarding specific tax issues – approximately 10% of your timeRemain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax lawOther duties as assignedSome travel may be requiredBasic Qualifications:BA/BS Degree – preferably in Accounting or related field of studyMust be eligible to sit for the CPA exam or a licensed JDMinimum of 2 years of experience in a public accounting environmentExperience with C-CorpsAbility to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirementsExperience preparing and reviewing returnsEffective verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Masters of AccountingCPA, JD, LLM, or EAExperience with a national or large regional accounting firmExperience preparing or reviewing accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and complianceStrong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, review experience a plusExperience in dealing with international tax matters a plusFluent in French, German, Japanese or Mandarin to include but not limited to speaking, writing and reading with a deep understanding of the culture and business practices within country of fluencyProven track record of managing relationships with large non US companies with significant operations in North AmericaAt RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.
