This position is located in Monterey, CA, but employment in our Alexandria, VA, Minneapolis, MN, San Diego, CA, or Louisville, KY office locations would also be considered.

ABOUT THE JOB:

We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated

Software Developer III

to become an integral part of our Computerized Adaptive Applications Design team supporting computerized testing projects. This is an exciting, but challenging opportunity for someone who is seeking to utilize their solid understanding of software architecture while demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Developing and maintaining code for various software, debugging programs, and sustaining cloud applications.

Evaluating, writing, and reviewing documents, plans, code, requirements, and specifications.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with minimum five years of experience developing software and enterprise solutions with exceptional skills in C/C++, Java, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, or similar high-level languages.

Experience in Java development on application servers (WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat) using Eclipse IDE and have an understanding of file and database I/O routines.

Strong knowledge of Java frameworks, Struts, Spring Boot, Spring MVC and JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS and VueJS.

Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle SQL, MySQL and Heidi SQL.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, clients, and partners.

Must be able to work with minimal supervision by following existing standards and processes and developing a high-level understanding of overall applications.

Passion for product quality, service, and performance.

U.S. citizenship is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical skills working with Git/Gitlab, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kibana.

Experience programming web applications, designing database schemas, and Docker containers.

Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or other CM tools.

Ability to pick up and use a wide variety of open-source tools/technologies and cloud services.

Needs to be a self-starter with a desire to learn, research, and recommend new technologies appropriate in developing solutions.
