As a Sensory Panel Leader, you will manage and lead a trained sensory panel to deliver high-quality descriptive analysis data to our customers. You must have trained sensory panel experience, and a passion for generating business impacting insights from sensory data sets.

Your key responsibilities

Manage the trained sensory panel and lead panel sessions, to ensure smooth delivery of sensory research and consistently deliver high quality descriptive analysis data, including the following:

Develop lesson plans based on project objectives.

Define sensory research questions and determine appropriate methodologies.

Plan, execute, and analyze data collection.

Liaise with the Sensory team to be fully proficient with the preparation and facilitation of the sensory panel(s) and product management.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate results and insights to internal stakeholders.

Regularly recruit and train new panelists to keep panel numbers at a required level.

Manage internal AromaSphere training for Firmenich employees:

Develop and execute relevant training materials based on BU needs.

Lead monthly AromaSphere trainings with internal employees and create training videos.

Develop tests in IRIS or Canopy for employees to check their progress.

Maintain Aromasphere Teams group for storage of training materials.

Work with collections managers to improve descriptors for our flavors in our internal systems.

Maintain Aromasphere chemical reference library in FIRINC.

You bring

Trained sensory panel leading experience, including descriptive analysis, is essential.

Master’s Degree+ preferred (others will be considered) in either Sensory Science or Statistics.

Strong knowledge across a wide range of sensory & product testing techniques including discrimination & descriptive methods, CLTs, HUTs, etc.

Comfort with key software such as SIMS, FIZZ, SPSS, CompuSense, XLStat, SAS, etc and strong practical understanding across a variety of statistical analysis.

Strong presentation skills required as is the ability to interact and present to clients at all levels.

Strong collaboration and communication skills.
