Controller - Growing Manufacturer - Racine, WI

About Our ClientI'm partnered with the CFO at a multi-million dollar, family-owned, rapidly growing manufacturer located near Racine, WI. The company is growing immensely and wants to bring on a Controller to partner directly with the CFO.In this newly created role, you will have full ownership of the entire plant and manage the day-to-day accounting function, while leading a team of 2+ individuals. As the Controller, you will be a key driver in improving efficiency and profitability of the business.Job DescriptionController Responsibilities:Review and present financial reports accurately and promptly; effectively communicate monthly and yearly financial statements; gather financial documentation for lending purposes, and manage all financial responsibilities.Lead and manage the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and evaluating necessary changes.Monitor and adapt to changes in cost accounting practices.Oversee and manage the annual budgeting and planning process in alignment with the Strategic Plan; review and administer all financial plans and budgets.Manage fixed assets and prepare capital budgets.Conduct research and implement strategies for cost reduction and process improvements.Supervise inventory control and manage the physical inventory reconciliation process.Maintain a strong track record of setting priorities, with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to facilitate sound decision-making.Commit to training programs that align with and enhance both individual and organizational goals.Work closely with State and Federal Agencies.Other duties as assigned.The Successful ApplicantBachelor's Degree in Accounting or FinanceManufacturing or related industry experienceManagement experience neededHands-on experience as a ControllerCost exposure nice to haveAudit start/background nice to haveStrong knowledge of GAAPStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with the existing teamAbility to work independently as wellAttention to detail and to perform multiple tasks at onceWhat's on OfferHighly competitive compensation packageStrong benefitsFamily owned, rapidly growing companyAmple room to progress your careerHighly visible role, collaborating with the CFO and senior leadersOwnership of the accounting & finance functionLeading a teamAwesome team cultureApply today to have your resume considered within 24 hours!
