Software Engineer

About the TeamWe are seeking a highly technically skilled and motivated Integration Engineer with a passion for embedded systems and a deep understanding of integration test methodologies to join our team.You will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of integration tests for software for the next generation of Vizio Smart TVs.What You Will DoDesign, develop, and execute test plans to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of embedded TV applicationsIntegrate various hardware and software components of the Smart TV systemAnalyze test results, identify and document defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issuesAutomate test processes using scripting languages and test automation frameworksParticipate in system-level integration testing in a BDD (Behavioral Driven Development) frameworkMaintain and improve test documentationAbout YouQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field3+ years of experience in testing embedded systems or TV applicationsStrong understanding of embedded systems concepts and hardware-software integration methodsProficiency in C/C++ programming and scripting languages like PythonExperience with test automation tools and frameworksExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective documentation, communication, and teamwork skillsPreferred Skills:Experience with TV industry standards, Smart TV, and broadcast (ATSC/DVB) and streaming protocolsExperience with Linux or other embedded Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)Understanding of video and audio processing on embedded systemsFamiliarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or BehaveExperience in developing Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) test cases for Linux-based systemsExperience with Agile, JIRA, Jenkins, and Version Control tools (git)If you are passionate about embedded software development, Linux systems, and the exciting world of Smart TVs, we invite you to join our team and contribute to the innovation and success of Vizio products.About VIZIOWe are Beautifully Simple.Headquartered in Irvine, California, VIZIO is a leading HDTV brand in America and the #1 Sound Bar Brand in America.
