As a Director in Training, you will have the benefit of gaining insight and resources with hands-on training as well as participating in on-site projects and tasks to prepare yourself to successfully lead your own school.
What you have:Early childhood professional credential such as a CDA, CCP or AAS in early childhood education; Bachelor’s Degree PreferredKnowledge of applicable laws, rules and regulations relevant to the operations of a childcare facilityKnowledge of the principles and practices of supervision and training, and instruction methods, programs, philosophies and theories relevant to the operation to the operation of a childcare facilityExcellent verbal, written and listening skills and the ability to communicate to a wide-ranging audience including those with varied educational levels and backgroundsStrong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work as part of a teamProficiency in financial reporting and management of budgetsAt least one year of experience in a supervisory roleAt least two years of experience as a classroom teacher or childcare providerWhat you will do:
You will be trusted with a wide range of tasks that will be essential to the smooth running of the school as well as to the educational development of the childrenAssist the Director with the operation of the school, ensuring that the school is operating in accordance with company and state licensing standardsBe responsible for ensuring an educational, caring and safe environment for the children and parentsSpark imagination, build self-esteem and help children discover new things each dayTeach, educate and monitor children as neededAssist Director in staff development and trainingAttend meetings as necessary to aid in business and organizational development as directed by the District Director or his/her supervisorsTravel to multiple childcare centers in the Richmond area to both assist and learnPerform other duties as assignedWhat we offer:
