We invite passionate professionals to join us in supporting the development of our students, clients, and residents as we grow!We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate therapist with experience in substance abuse treatment to join our dynamic clinical and special education teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with at-risk youth, ages 12-17, who present with behavioral challenges and substance abuse issues.Come join our school-based teams in the San Fernando Valley and Culver City, where you will thrive in a collaborative and supportive working environment within our various Non-Public Schools. Under the direction of our seasoned leadership team, you will have the opportunity to grow professionally alongside a team of colleagues dedicated to serving at-risk youth by providing integrated school-based mental health treatment for substance misuse, trauma, and neurodivergence.Position Details:Full-TimeLocations: Culver City, Sherman Oaks, Van NuysKey Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify mental health, substance abuse, and trauma-related issues in adolescents.Develop and implement individualized education plan goals, monitor progress, and participate in IEP meetings, incorporating evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care principles.Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address substance misuse, behavioral challenges, and trauma symptoms.Develop and refine substance use prevention and intervention program curricula and materials for use by special education teachers, clinicians, and paraprofessionals.Collaborate with our integrated milieu teams, communicating regularly with school staff, psychiatrists, related service providers, caregivers, and other community agencies to coordinate services and support for students.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, IEP goals, and interventions according to agency standards and legal requirements.Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.Advocate for students' rights and access to resources within the community and provide parent education training sessions.Qualifications:Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.Licensed or license-eligible as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of CA.CADC-I credential preferred.Experience providing mental health and substance abuse treatment services to adolescents, preferably in a school-based setting.Specialized training or certification in trauma-informed therapy is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of adolescent development, behavioral interventions, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations, including youth with complex needs, and ethnic & cultural differences.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and crisis intervention skills.Experience with school-based paperwork and proficiency in electronic health records (e.g., Power School, Welligent) and documentation practices a plus.Valid CA Driver’s License and clean driving record, acceptable to Agency’s insurance carrier.Benefits:The Help Group offers wonderful training opportunities, a supportive, professional work environment, and great benefits, including:Insurance plans for Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance - options for 100% employer sponsored plans.403b Retirement Plan.529 College Savings Plan.Employee Assistance Program.Flexible Spending Account.Vacation and Sick Leave.Benefit Hub - Employee Rewards and Incentives.Pet Insurance.We are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
