DescriptionSAIC is seeking a DevOps Systems Engineer to provide Systems Engineer Technical Advisor (SETA) services for a critical position in the Landmark GSS program in the Chantilly, VA area. Landmark GSS supports the NRO’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.As the DevOps Systems Engineer, you will fill a critical need supporting ground system programs over the complete end-to-end life cycle within the Enterprise, Data, Applications, and Platforms (EDAP) Office. You will assist and advise Government managers responsible for multiple Systems Engineering functions for a variety of Cloud-based developments within the portfolio.In this position, you will review system architectures and provide technical insight for impacts to the organization system capabilities, provide systems engineering process development and management oversight, and support identification of risks, issues, and opportunities.Responsibilities include:Working the entire array of Systems Engineering disciplines (Schedules, Configuration Management, Requirements, Risk, etc.) across a myriad of cloud-based software development activities.Develop detailed Systems Engineering products to include integration, verification, validation and test processes, requirements tracing, short-term and long-term schedules and roadmaps.Support the development of MBSE plans and procedures for current and future programs.Execute enterprise system activities, support system readiness activities to communicate/collaborate with stakeholders, and provide status and recommendations in support of senior leadership.Identify, analyze, and define stakeholder needs to translate them into technical or operational requirements and coordinate the requirements management process with acquisition offices.Decompose documentation to develop and maintain system architecture; analyze system and functional requirements to capture mission needs, develop new requirements, and identify risks in support of Significant Ground Capabilities (SGCs).Help guide the direction of all risks, opportunities, and issues that impact corporate-level decisions.Support the development of cross-program system engineering standards for the Enterprise Management Framework.Integrate across the organization to provide systems engineering insight to the mission integrators and capability managers.Review and provide technical evaluations of key System Engineering documents.Develop, prepare, and deliver documentation and coordinate execution of all major System Engineering Reviews for the Enterprise.QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years or more experience; Master’s degree and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.Experience in DevOps delivery of software capabilities.Experience and knowledge of the systems engineering process, including risk and opportunity management, requirements management, configuration management, and cross-program integration of systems engineering challenges.IV&V Testing (Independent Verification and Validation) experience.Working knowledge of systems engineering documentation, including concepts of operations, systems requirements documents, interface control documents, and verification and test.Strong oral and written communication skills to support interaction with government, SETA, FFRDC, external stakeholders, and development contractors at all levels on significant technical matters, often requiring coordination between all organizations within a high-tempo environment.SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
