Summary:

The Director of Nursing is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality nursing care and patient safety at a facility that provides medically supervised withdrawal management services. The Director of Nursing plays a key role in managing the infrastructure support systems for patient services and overseeing the implementation of documentation, workflow, and patient care under the direction of Sana’s Medical Director. This position requires an ability to be flexible and work within a multidisciplinary team while providing supervision, clinical education, support, and evaluation of the nursing staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (include but are not limited to):

Participate in employment decisions affecting nursing staff, including hiring, development, training, performance management, and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.

Develop, implement, and evaluate staffing plans to meet the needs of patients and families.

Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, and quality improvement.

Identify issues related to the quality and safety of patient care and develop, implement, and evaluate any necessary improvements.

Ensure the facility and nursing staff meet all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Assist with the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures and strategic plans related to nursing practice.

Demonstrate a positive attitude, dedication to excellence, open communication, and teamwork.

Facilitate psychoeducation groups for patients/families and provide direct patient care as needed.

Provide leadership and direction in accordance with facility and departmental goals and objectives.

Promote professional growth and development of staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.

Registered nurse (RN) with active State of Vermont licensure required.

3-5 years of nursing experience preferred.

One or more years of leadership or management experience preferred.

One or more years of experience in the behavioral health field preferred.

$103,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
