This unique approach to pharmacy operations results in flexible work schedules, a team environment, and time for you to focus on what you do best – patient care.Cardinal Health Remote Pharmacy Services is currently searching for a highly energetic and clinically oriented lead pharmacist to join our remote pharmacy team. Pharmacists will utilize their clinical skills to remotely service our clients’ patients and provide a top-notch continuity of care.Responsibilities:Remote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verificationAssure acquisition or renewal of all pharmacy staff licensesPerform as staff pharmacist as neededPhysician and nursing consultationsReview and monitoring of profiles and lab values for therapeutic outcomesCoordinate access to medications according to facility policy and procedures, and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.Lead Responsibilities:Monitor workflows to ensure that optimal order processing times are maintained through creation and management of account assignmentsTrack account updates, revise due diligence forms and database, and communicate this information via a standardized communication formIdentify educational deficiencies and implement a plan to addressSchedule team staffing and adjust staffing to meet changing needsComplete account training with new employees; track account accessCommunicate with Director and/or Regional Director regarding account and IT issues (in a timely manner), performance issues and excellence, and projects as assignedQualifications:Active pharmacy license(s) in state of residence as well as state of original licensure.Willingness to become licensed in CT, MA, ME, NH, NY, OH, PA, RI, and VT within 12 months.2-4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience preferred.Ability to gain reciprocity to additional states required for practice as business needs change.Computer savvy to learn and perform successful operation of multiple pharmacy information systems.Excellent communication skills to enable successful interactions with other healthcare professionals to facilitate the delivery of competent clinical care.Ability to set priorities and work independently; courteous and team-oriented.Flexible and adaptive to change in workload, equipment, procedures, and standards; ensures that the pharmaceutical care needs of patients are met.Prior supervisory experience is preferred.What is expected of you and others at this level:Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projectsMay contribute to the development of policies and proceduresWorks on complex projects of large scopeDevelops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problemsSolutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectivesCompletes work; independently receives general guidance on new projectsWork reviewed for purpose of meeting objectivesMay act as a mentor to less experienced colleaguesAnticipated hourly range:
