Speech Pathologist HDS Grant

This position is dependent upon the successful acquisition and retention of grant funding; applicants should be aware that any failure to secure adequate grant funding may result in position elimination.Evaluate, diagnose, plan, and provide quality developmental assessments and classes as well as therapy treatments that meet each client’s and families’ individual needs. These assessments, classes, and treatments are provided as part of First 5 funded Developmental Services. They are the result of HDS partner referral and are within the standards of professional practice. Exercises independent judgment for clinical decision-making and prepares all documentation required to support all aspects of client care and family education provided. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop-down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying, and similar operations required upon employment or within the first two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws, and standards.
