OverviewPurpose Statement/Position Summary:

The Implant Inventory Coordinator position is responsible for establishing and maintaining acceptable inventory levels of owned and consigned implants and arranges for loaner implants and instruments when indicated by patient care requirements according to standard departmental inventory management practices to meet the needs of the surgical patient. This position plays a critical role in following departmental business practices by securing inventory, replenishing owned and consignment inventory through the inventory manager system, matching implant usage with patient charge forms, and inventory issues to confirm that patient billing has occurred. This role is responsible for working collaboratively with the patient care managers and clinical service coordinators on the curation of anticipated implants and loaned instruments. This position operates under the direction of the Perioperative Services management team. Responsible for meeting patient needs, demonstrating a willingness to learn new skills, and fostering a harmonious work environment in which high-quality patient care and customer service are consistently provided. Promotes a cooperative working relationship with each other, physicians, other disciplines, and the public by facilitating and enhancing communication, displaying honesty and respect, displaying sensitivity to cultural differences, and expressing and accepting feedback professionally. The Implant Inventory Coordinator will effectively explore alternatives and positions to reach agreements and solutions that gain the support and acceptance of all parties. This position demonstrates professional behavior and is aware of how their actions affect patient care. In addition, this role remains alert in a high-risk environment; follows detailed procedures and ensures accuracy in documentation and data; carefully monitors ongoing projects/initiatives. Requires excellent problem-solving, diligent decision-making, and strong communication skills in dealing with various disciplines throughout the organization.Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

2+ years of experience in operating room healthcare setting or related experience. Clinical experience preferred. Strong experience with implants/tissues/instruments. Experience with OR billing is highly desirable.Education/Licensure/Certification:

Associate’s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience or completion of other applicable certifications and/or degrees.

Pay Scale InformationUSD $55,120.00 - USD $95,201.00. CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
