We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to play a pivotal role in the Member Data Science team, responsible for driving Growth, Engagement, and Retention strategies. The Member Organization is the connective tissue at SoFi, we are dedicated to understanding our members and their behaviors to help them achieve financial independence and reach their goals.As a Sr. Data Scientist, you'll use your expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning to uncover insights that will directly influence product strategy and revenue growth. This role demands a strong technical foundation (SQL, Python/R, Tableau, Statistics), a deep understanding of business metrics, A/B testing, causal inference analysis, and exceptional collaboration skills.This role is inherently cross-functional—you will work closely with engineering, product managers, lifecycle marketing, data science, design, operations, finance, risk, legal, compliance, and executive teams to set business objectives, define product strategy, prioritize features, and execute on them. This is an exciting role for someone to make a direct impact on the company's financial performance and customer experience.What You'll Do

Design and implement data collection and processing pipelinesDevelop and apply machine learning models to solve business problemsStrong experience owning product analytics workflows including formulating success metrics, socializing them across the organization, and creating dashboards/reportsEvaluate and interpret the results of data analysisCommunicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholdersStay up-to-date on the latest data science techniques and technologiesWhat You'll Need:

Bachelor’s degree required (Masters preferred) in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering or quantitative field.4+ years of relevant work experienceStrong programming skills in SQL, Python/R and proficiency in TableauExperience with using DBT, Airflow to build Data Pipelines in SnowflakeExperience with A/B Testing, quasi-experimentation for causal inference and insightsExperience with data mining, descriptive analytics, defining KPIs, machine learning, statistical modeling and predictive modeling concepts.Demonstrate strong business acumen and curiosity with excellent communication and presentation skills with leadershipAbility to work independently and as part of a team. You should be able to initiate and drive projects to completionExceptional problem-solving skillsInfluence outcomes and communicate technical content to general audiencesWork independently in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, with strong attention to detail and be a team player.Prepare comprehensive data reports and share insights with stakeholdersCompensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.Pay range: $128,000.00 - $240,000.00Payment frequency: AnnualThis role is also eligible for a bonus, long term incentives and competitive benefits.
