Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Explains examination and procedure to patient, and completes departmental documentation.Minimum Requirements1 year experience in a Rad Tech position to include Radiologic Tech, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography or Ultrasound preferred.Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program OR Graduate of 24 month program in radiologic technology required in lieu of experience.Six months MR experience or completion of MR didactic program preferred.Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire (to include mergers and acquisitions).CNMT or ARDMS or ARRT or ARMRIT is required.Qualifications:TS - Trade School GraduateARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) - Certifications - Other/NationalBasic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQICertified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Certifications - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - Certifications - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)SkillsCommunicationSentara Healthcare prides itself on the diversity and inclusiveness of its close to an almost 30,000-member workforce.
