Overview

The

Data Analyst II

participates as a technical resource in data analysis, data integration (e.g., inspecting, cleansing, validating, transforming, and modeling), and data management. Utilizes a thorough knowledge of data analysis, information systems data structures, and data management methodologies to align business insight with corporate goals and strategies. The Data Analyst II coordinates and assists with requirements gathering sessions internal customers and presents their findings to the business unit.

Responsibilities

Communicates with cross-functional teams to align data activities to key business goals and initiatives.

Generates custom analytics and performs data analysis using statistical techniques and analytics tools. Present findings to leadership.Conducts data integration and database data management for use by various units and business processes.Identifies and interprets trends or patterns in complex data.Generates custom reports and performs data analysis using statistical techniques.Creates data models for efficient systems usage and performance analysis.Creates data flows diagrams and visualizations to communicate information clearly and effectively.Writes database queries and stored procedures to streamline development needs of developers and project teams.Acquires data from primary and secondary data sources and ensures accuracy, consistency, timeliness and integrity of data.Works with business units to prioritize business and information needs and align analytics to business processes.Creates data architecture models and reference architecture; collaborates with IT resources to validate and implement strategic data technologies.Documents logical data structure (e.g., data mapping from source to target), field definitions, and any calculations and transformations along the data pipeline.Work within their team and have a direct impact on themselves and their direct processes.

EducationMin/Preferred: PreferredEducation Level: 4 Year / Bachelors DegreeDescription: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in statistics, data analysis, data mining, computer science or information management.ExperienceMinimum Years of Experience: 2Preferred Years of Experience:

4Comments:2-4 years of experience in data analysis or digital analytics required.2-4 years of experience in data reporting required.Knowledge, Skills & AbilityMust have a solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel and be comfortable working with spreadsheets and complex formulas.Fluent in SQL and data manipulation within a multi-terabyte cloud environmentExperience in all aspects of data management involving large data sets (data gathering, profiling, validation, and analysis).Experience with creating data flow diagrams (e.g., mapping documents) and requirements documents.Ability to clearly communicate with managers and associates at all levels.Experience with Tableau, MicroStrategy, PowerBI, or other established BI tools preferred.Experience with and understands "Big Data" concepts and technologies such as Hadoop preferred.Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure preferred.Experience with financial systems preferred.Python or R experience preferred.Use existing tools/processes to solve tasks/issues assigned to them.

USD $73,700.80 - USD $110,551.20 /Yr.
