OverviewJob PurposeThe Strategic Analytics team is responsible for product and customer analytics, company-wide data uniformity, data consolidation, and senior executive requested analyses. The Quantitative Financial Analyst - Strategic Analytics position will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and performing company-wide analytical initiatives. The successful candidate will work on new and exciting projects in close collaboration with teams that include ICE Executives, Sales, Marketing and Account Management, Business Development, Data Warehouse, Finance and other key stakeholders. The individual must be results-oriented and team-focused with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must be self-motivated to help drive initiatives the team will own. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills as well as decision-making ability.ResponsibilitiesAbility to deliver actionable results through data analytics and summarize complex research concisely.Working with business leads to identify solutions to unique challenges underlying a wide variety of businesses.Independently identify strategic needs while supporting business leads with strategy execution.Collaboratively managing efforts and realistic expectations, and ensuring members are well aligned.Timely interaction with stakeholders to define needs, track project status and manage engagement.Formulate data-driven approaches to solve novel and interesting problems while driving measurable results.Provides management visibility and useful insights that inform the improvement of the business.Drive a culture of experimentation — from design construction to testing using proven methodologies.Actively seeks to understand and optimize the fundamental business while influencing positive outcomes.Knowledge And ExperienceMinimum of 3+ years of experience in Finance, Software Engineering or a quantitative discipline.MBA or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or quantitative fields preferred, CFA a plus.Candidate should strongly value a startup culture housed within a Fortune 500 company.Proficiency in Python, Java, or other object-oriented languages a must, R a plus.Proven track record presenting and influencing outcomes.Experience with futures & derivatives, exchange and/or trading industry a plus.Experience in valuation of financial instruments or businesses or background with ML or AI methods.Resourceful, self-motivated, and comfortable under pressure in an unstructured environment.Continuous interest to learn new concepts, ideas, and emerging technologies.Collaborative, team-oriented player with the drive to contribute to individual and group results.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must be self-motivated and well-organized.Strong systems/process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, organization skills and problem-solving skills.ScheduleThis role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
