Backend Engineer

with expertise in C# .NET and Microsoft SQL Server to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, a passion for technology, and a drive to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will work closely with our design and backend teams to deliver high-quality, performant, and scalable solutions.LAZ Parking is an innovative parking company dedicated to creating cutting-edge web-based user experiences for our users and clients. Some of the more recent web experiences our team has built involve license plate recognition technology, "scan to park", and airport parking experiences. With several major features in our product pipeline, this role would have an immediate impact not just on our team, but for the large number of users that use our product monthly. Join us in shaping the future of parking!Principal Job Duties:Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# .NETOptimize and manage SQL Server databases to ensure high performance, reliability, and securityImplement security and data protection measuresTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issuesParticipate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processesStay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends and latest .NET releasesRequirements:Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar roleStrong proficiency in C# .NET and Microsoft SQL ServerExperience with RESTful API design and developmentKnowledge of database design, optimization, and performance tuningFamiliarity with version control systems (Git)Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesEducation:Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceExperience:Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and experience with Azure SQLExperience with Microsoft Azure services such as App Service Plans, App Services, Frontdoor, API Management, Azure SQL, Application Insights, Azure Data FactoryExperience with Azure DevOps and building pipelines and releasesExperience with test driven development and building unit testsExperience with implementing single sign on solutionsPhysical Demands:Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds.FLSA Status: ExemptLAZ Parking is an equal opportunity employer.
