Project Engineer

for a critical role as a key contributor and leader on electronic hardware development teams. If you are always looking for the next problem to solve, this is the role for you.Your essential duties:Drive the successful technical completion of projects working closely with the customer and engineering teamsBuild an engineering project management culture that empowers employees, establishes personal and team accountability, motivates team performance, encourages development, and supports innovation.Ensure application of design processes and guidelines are followed during program executionTrack and report on program performance and execution metrics for cost and schedule including Earned Value Management (EVMS).Establish and track progress towards key project milestones in accordance with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).Perform workforce planning in cooperation with functional managers to ensure programs are adequately staffedIdentify and develop Risk and Opportunities and track them to closure.Perform CAM duties for cost accounts.Support and lead Proposal developmentOur employees take advantage of Northrop Grumman's flexible work arrangements, including 9/80 schedules and 4/10 schedules. Northrop Grumman offers competitive benefits including 401k matching!Basic Qualifications:Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or STEM, plus 9 years of progressive experience in an engineering or military related position; OR Master of Science in Engineering or STEM, degree plus 7 years of progressive experience in an engineering or military related position; OR PhD in Engineering or STEM, plus 4 years of progressive experience in an engineering or military related positionProgram Management or Project Management experienceRecent design experience and a track record of successful product designs.Active Top Secret clearance required to startCurrent US citizen requiredPreferred Qualifications:Experience as an IPT lead, functional lead, or leadership in the military.Demonstrated leadership experience.Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply varied technologies.Ability to perform as liaison to the customer for all engineering efforts.Ability to collaborate in a team environment.Salary Range:

$121,000 - $181,400The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
