- This role is responsible for handling system testing and commissioning aspects of AV engineering post-build and during installation. The System Specialist/Programmer will also be required to program small systems as well as provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments and establish goals and plans that meet project objectives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprintsReview project Scope of Work to ensure quality and completeness of installationTest integrated systems and perform troubleshooting when neededTest point-to-point functionality of systemsTest and troubleshoot control programs (AMX/Crestron/Extron)Write code for DSP systemsLoad, test, and troubleshoot code for DSP systemsWrite code for small AV systemsMake basic programming changes to larger AV systemsFine-tune audio-video systems to ensure optimal performanceAct as a customer liaison in absence of the Project ManagerResponsible for final job documentation as neededDemonstrate job site leadershipAbility to travel to various job sitesOther duties as requiredQualifications

Applicant should have a 2 or 4-year college degree in a technical fieldApplicant must have 4 to 5 years of related experienceApplicant must have knowledge of AV fundamentals and ICIA best practices. CTS certification is preferredManufacturer Certifications are a plusBiamp, Polycom, QSC, Crestron, AMX, and Extron preferredExperience with installing or supporting AV equipmentAbility to diagnose complex system problemsProficient with test and calibration equipmentGeneral knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switches, routers, firewallsWorking knowledge of VTC, ATC, networking software, and hardwareExperience configuring and troubleshooting Video and Audio over IP ProtocolsExperience with Extron Global Configurator and Crestron programming softwareEffective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleaguesAbility to balance multiple tasks with changing prioritiesAbility to work and think independently and ensure to meet deadlinesStrong organizational skills and excellent attention to detailProven business writing skillsValid Driver's License with minimum 3-year clean driving recordPhysical Demands
