Key Responsibilities:SAP Data Integration: Design, develop, and maintain data integration processes for SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, and SAP BW, ensuring seamless data flow from SAP source systems to downstream applications.Data Modeling: Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements. Create and optimize data models within SAP HANA and SAP BW, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.ETL Development: Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract data from SAP and non-SAP systems, transform it, and load it into our data warehouse or data lakes.SAP Data Governance: Ensure data quality and governance standards are implemented and maintained within SAP systems, including security and compliance.Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of SAP data systems, addressing performance bottlenecks and enhancing system scalability.Data Reporting: Collaborate with business analysts and end users to understand their reporting needs and develop solutions using SAP Business Objects for data visualization and reporting.Automation: Implement automated processes for data pipeline orchestration and monitoring, reducing manual effort and improving system reliability.Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues promptly, collaborating with SAP support teams as needed.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP data models, ETL processes, and system architecture.Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers, fostering their growth and development in the SAP data engineering domain.Required Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role with a focus on SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, and SAP BW.Strong background in SAP HANA modeling, including Calculation Views, Attribute Views, and Analytical Views.Strong experience in SAP Business Objects for reporting and data visualization. Experience in sunsetting BOBJ landscape.Expertise in SAP BW (Business Warehouse) for data warehousing and data modeling. Experience in sunsetting BW landscape.Expert knowledge in multiple functional areas of SAP BW (Material Management, Finance, Production Planning, etc.)Highly skilled in SQL and experience with SAP HANA SQLScript.Strong understanding of SAP data integration techniques and best practices.Knowledge of SAP data governance and security best practices.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data-related issues.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Strong organizational and project management skills.Proven experience with multiple third-party reporting/analytic environments.Proactive and self-motivated – ability to execute large tasks/projects with minimal management oversight.Relevant certifications in SAP HANA, Business Objects, or BW are a plus.Physical Requirements/Work Environment:The employee must be able to operate a computer and other office equipment and remain in a stationary position for long periods.The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet and occasionally moderate.In addition to an attractive wage, this position offers a competitive benefits package including Group Health and Life Insurance, Vision and Dental Insurance, a Flexible Benefits Plan, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with a company match, a Profit-Sharing Retirement Plan, and other benefits.
