We offer several programs and benefits, from professional development seminars to online education initiatives, to help you expand your knowledge and develop your skills, so you can take your career to the next level with STV.Take Care of Your Personal & Financial HealthWith a wide range of competitive benefit programs, we are committed to helping employees be personally and financially healthy and productive.DescriptionSTV is looking for an Estimator to join our team in Los Angeles, CA and work on-site with major clients throughout the area.Duties:Prepares preliminary independent cost estimates of projects for comparison with designer or contractor for PM/CM to establish negotiating position.Assists in preparing change order estimates for Owner Authorized Representatives to establish negotiating position.Provides support in price negotiations.Prepares claim analyses and estimates.Prepares detailed estimates of construction costs based on drawings, specifications, and sketches.Assists in reviewing contractor's claims and proposals for merit and accountability.Conducts research on recent cost and price changes in supplies and services.Required Experience:Two years full time paid professional experience in construction estimating of facilities or school construction.Knowledge of current local construction labor and material costs.Experience in developing and estimating the scope of work for change orders.Ability to compare the independent cost estimate with contractor proposal to identify differences.Ability to develop scope of work based on RFI/RFC answers and estimates the detailed costs of those scopes of work independent of the contractor proposal.Good oral and written communication skills.Good research skills.Required Education:Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.Don't meet every single requirement?
