ENERCON's Advanced Nuclear Division is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer / Senior Technical Specialist to join the ENERCON team at various office / site locations across the U.S. This role would support unique and exciting work in the advanced / new nuclear market including advanced and small modular reactor (SMR) technology development, plant siting, and licensing.Responsibilities
Understand roles played by other disciplines on the project and is able to coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplinesParticipate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractorsPrepare technical studies, specifications, or evaluations in areas of expertiseFormulate/develop detailed project reportsManage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversightUnderstand project schedules and project management plans to ensure project requirements are metFoster and maintain working relations with assigned clients and act as a single point of contact for assigned projectsQualifications
Design Engineering experience with the modification and implementation process, calculations, specifications, etc. in a nuclear energy facilityMinimum of 7 years' experience in the nuclear industryBachelor's Degree -OR- industry recognized certification and 11 years' applicable experienceAbility to understand and work with budget and accounting processesExcellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skillsEffective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teamsWorking knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sitesAbility to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeksAdditional Information
