The Senior Director of Primary Care and School Health is responsible for the administrative, operational, and financial management of the hospital-owned pediatric primary care network and school health service line.Responsibilities:

Adds value as a key member of management; understands the business, financials, industry, customers, and strategy.Assumes responsibility for the financial management of both departments, which includes budget administration and contract negotiations, expense, revenue, capital evaluation and management, and costing and pricing of services.Supervises employees and proactively provides direction, coaches, trains, and develops, and manages performance to company goals and expectations.Plans for the delivery of nursing and allied professional care to ensure quality services are rendered to all school children serviced under hospital contracts.Advocates for evidence-based student health and safety policies and protocols with school administrators.Prepares, manages, and adheres to department budget to maintain expenditure controls.Works closely with the Medical Directors and Division Leadership Teams on financial performance and improvements in practice operations and customer satisfaction.Directs practice operations, human resources, compliance and JCAHO oversight, financial management, strategic and business planning, marketing, information systems and technology, and facilities management.Actively leads and participates on department and hospital committees and advisory boards and represents the departments at regional and national professional forums.General Management Responsibilities: Effectively executes the leadership and administrative responsibilities of management in an accurate, timely and results-oriented manner.Demonstrates the leadership skills associated with efficient management of human resources.Drives performance improvement initiatives within division through Lean Six Sigma and Clinical Microsystems projects, system-wide and office-based dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.Promotes family-centered care and employee engagement.Other duties as required.Technical ExpertiseExperience in progressive healthcare leadership, including partnering with physicians and clinical leaders in a collaborative environment is required.Experience in contract negotiation and management of school health services is preferred.Expertise in revenue cycle functions, financial management and patient care operations is required.Strong analytical and organizational skills are required.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are required.Strong leadership and team building skills coupled with demonstrated ability to work well with administrative leaders.Experience with performance improvement and quality strategies specifically, Lean Six Sigma, is preferred.Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.Experience working in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.Experience working with EPIC system (electronic medical record) software is preferred.Education and Experience:Education: Master’s degree in business or healthcare administration is required. MSN preferred. *In lieu of a Master’s degree, selected candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree and obtain a Master’s degree within 3 years of hire.Certification: RN Current unrestricted, licensed BSN/RN is preferred. School Nurse licensure and certification is preferred.Years of relevant experience: Minimum eight (8) years of experience is required.Years of leadership experience: Minimum of five (5) years is required.FTE: 1.000000
