Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer and Modeler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing data models, creating interactive dashboards, and transforming complex datasets into actionable insights. This role is crucial for supporting our business intelligence initiatives and involves close collaboration with IT teams and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Develop, design, and deploy intuitive and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards.
Implement and manage data models and schemas to support business intelligence needs.
Optimize Power BI reports performance, including the use of Incremental Refresh.
Conduct comprehensive data analysis and present findings to stakeholders.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Stay current with the latest Power BI features and best practices.
Provide end-user training and support.
Participate in the creation and maintenance of business processes and custom dashboards.
Develop and deploy testing plans, and manage deployments to production.
Act as a key liaison between business and technology areas, including participating in user training and demos.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in Power BI development and data modeling.
Strong proficiency in Power BI Paginated Reports, Interactive Reports, Incremental Refresh, and Power BI Semantic Model (Dataset).
Advanced SQL skills and experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M Query.
Knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in relevant sectors or with related data.
Familiarity with Azure cloud services.
Certification in Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst is a plus.
