Position Overview:

CACI has an opportunity for a Network Engineer to support the Hopper Global Service Center in Suitland, MD with a wide range of network skills. You should have knowledge and experience with the latest Cisco Unified Computing (UCS) Platforms and Nexus-based Data-center Switches and a strong background in computer networking, virtualization, server administration, and data storage.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, administer, and perform problem isolation of the current network management equipment.

Provide maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary.

Administer network equipment including routers, switches, servers, transmission media, and related hardware of the organization's network architecture and infrastructure local area and wide area networking including bandwidth management.

Monitor network performance to determine if adjustments are required.

Administer and manage Cisco network devices.

Perform network installation, operations, management, and maintenance concepts.

Maintain the organization’s network architecture, topology, and protocols plans.

Perform routine network configuration management functions.

Provide assistance to clients and customers to assess their requirements, provide information or assistance.

Identify and perform problem resolutions.

Develop network backup and recovery solutions and procedures.

Assist with the development of network backup and recovery solutions and procedures.

Travel occasionally to CONUS and OCONUS locations as needed to perform node installations or upgrades.

Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI clearance

BS Degree (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field) and 10 years of direct experience or 12 years of same experience

CCNA or CCNP Certification

CompTIA Security + CE

The ability to effectively communicate orally and written with customers.

The ability to resolve highly complex network interoperability problems

Preferred Qualifications:

SolarWinds experience

VM experience

Pay Range:

The proposed salary range for this position is: $78,700 - $165,300. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
