Their building has many amenities, including a spa & gym (discounted for tenants), Starbucks, deli, restaurant, and covered, free secured parking connected to the building. Currently implemented hybrid office (3 days)/work from home (2 days). New employees will be expected to spend more time in the office until fully trained before going to hybrid mode. Travel to client sites, while not extensive, is occasionally required, especially during client training and when going live.As the DBA/SQL Developer, you will implement, configure, maintain, and perform critical SQL Server RDBMS systems for multiple environments, including office and developers’ infrastructure and customer systems on-premises and in the cloud.To succeed, you should have:Solid command of SQL, SQL Server tools, and performance tuning.Advanced knowledge of database security, backups, and recovery.Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) for SQL Server.Proficiency in PowerShell and Unix shell scripting.5 years of experience as an SQL Server DBA, including Windows Server and Active Directory management.Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience.It would be beneficial if you have:MCTS, MCITP, and MVP certifications.MCSE/MCSA certifications.Your responsibilities as the DBA/SQL Developer will include utilizing your skills and talents to perform the following successfully:Manage and optimize SQL Server databases, ensuring performance, availability, and security.Configure and maintain database servers, processes, and system health.Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in real-time, including performance tuning.Assist developers with query optimization and schema refinement.Automate recurring database tasks and support scheduled maintenance and deployments.Our client is an equal opportunity employer that welcomes and encourages diversity in the workplace.
