Summary:

As the Senior Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a pivotal role in providing advanced data support and coordination for critical business analyses and reporting, directly contributing to CCC’s strategic goals and initiatives. Your expertise will drive efforts to automate and enhance data reporting processes and innovate new business intelligence tools. Candidates should have a strong track record in leveraging business intelligence technologies to deliver strategic insights and drive business outcomes. This position offers a diverse array of high-impact projects, providing opportunities to deepen expertise in healthcare and housing, conduct in-depth analyses of program and initiative performance, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines. It also presents the opportunity to contribute significantly to these projects and collaborate with top-tier professionals in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Data Infrastructure: Collaborate with Data Integration and other IT teams to establish and maintain accurate, scalable, secure, and compliant data infrastructure.

Data Governance: Implement robust data governance models and oversee data validation projects, and provide insights for enhancing unit testing, error checks, and validation processes.

Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Collaborate with BI analytics leadership to offer technical guidance and mentorship, and assist in providing continuous educational opportunities for the team.

Evaluate Business Impact: Assess the impact of business changes on BI processes in collaboration with BI analytics leadership, including adjustments to reporting, analytical support, and other operational modifications.

Strategic Development and Business Analytics Leadership: Collaborate with CCC leadership to develop and implement data analytics strategies related to population health management, utilization, clinical quality, and financial sustainability. Lead efforts in implementing and refining advanced business analytics practices aimed at elevating decision-making processes, optimizing efficiency, and maximizing overall performance.

Drive Reporting Solutions: Lead the identification of reporting needs and propose solutions for complex projects. Serve as the subject matter expert, coordinating with team members, stakeholders, and others to ensure project deliverables are met.

Report Development: Draft and develop reports and analyses to support internal and external business processes, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.

Data Extraction, Transformation, and Management: Lead the extraction, transformation, and preprocessing of data to meet project demands using advanced coding languages such as SQL, Python, and R. Collaborate closely with analytics leadership, Data Integration, and IT teams to ensure meticulous management and upkeep of data sources, systems, and storage infrastructure.

Data Visualization: Drive the development of advanced data visualization solutions, empowering stakeholders to engage with data insights effectively through cutting-edge tools like Tableau and Microsoft Power BI.

Reporting Management: Lead the facilitation of routine reporting and swift resolution of ad-hoc analytics requests by deploying pre-programmed code scripts and macros. Innovate by developing and crafting queries and reports to deliver timely and precise data insights.

BI Capabilities: Lead development of BI capabilities and performance measurements, assisting in funding activities by compiling and maintaining necessary reports, documentation, information/data flows, and business rules.

Domain Expertise: Cultivate comprehensive expertise in healthcare and housing business domains, along with specialized knowledge pertinent to supported analytics areas.

Documentation and Training Initiatives: Initiate the development and upkeep of documentation and training materials, including job aids, to ensure team proficiency and knowledge retention.

Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of project-related information and reporting initiatives by participating in data validation projects and providing feedback on unit testing, error checks, and validation processes.

Audits and Reviews: Perform independent audits and reviews of BI artifacts (e.g., stored procedures, queries, reports) to ensure data integrity, and work collaboratively to resolve data discrepancies.

Performance and Attendance: Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.

Mandatory Training: Attend and complete all mandatory CCC trainings in a timely manner.

Privacy and Security Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal privacy regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, and comply with CCC policies regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security. Report any breach of protected health information or personal identification information to the CCC Compliance Department and your supervisor.

Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrate strong ETL skills with a knack for developing robust data pipelines that meet reporting and analysis needs.

Demonstrate strong data analytical skills with extensive experience validating data integrity and quality.

Proficient in aggregating, analyzing, and interpreting data to produce actionable insights.

Skilled in visualizing data and communicating insights to stakeholders with a wide range of backgrounds and technical abilities.

Proficient in collaborating with teams to understand and contribute to the vision and value of specific projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health and Medical Economics, Public Health, Information Systems or a related field. AND 4+ years of experience with data warehouse and business intelligence environments, and demonstrated expertise in analytics, reporting and data visualization programs such as Power BI or Tableau. OR Associate’s degree or trade school certificate in a related field (e.g., IT, Computer Science, Mathematics), with 5+ years of recent experiences in business intelligence and analytics that includes proficiency in SQL, relational databases, analytics, reporting and data visualization programs. OR 6+ years of recent experiences in business intelligence and analytics that includes proficiency in SQL, relational databases, analytics, reporting and data visualization programs.

Proficiency of ETL methodologies, data structures, and relationships for reporting historical trends and identifying future opportunities.

Experiences in health care, public health or other human services industries.

Familiarity with healthcare, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), housing, finance, and accounting data sources, as well as their respective data structures preferred.

General knowledge of at least one statistical/analytical programming tools such as R, SAS, SPSS, SQL, Python.

Ability to manage workload within a team environment without direct supervision.

Ability to conceptualize solutions to complex problems and anticipate issues.

Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate work using ticketing system such as JIRA.

Proficient in collaborating with diverse stakeholders, with the capacity to effectively influence outcomes when necessary.

General knowledge of BI analytics applications like Tableau, Power BI, and web-based database tools.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

General understanding of business principles, theories, and concepts.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB Test, and background check. This includes clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit.

Must be able to work within an integrated, multidisciplinary setting.
