Job Title: Branch Manager/Business Banker

Departments: Retail Banking/Loans

Reports To: SVP/Retail and Business Banking

Summary/Purpose:

Manages branch or office of financial institution. Sales driven lender who facilitates and closes loans while representing the bank through community involvement and promotion of bank. Establishes, ensures accuracy and manages a portfolio of business customers by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

"Sets the tone" for the branch each day by being 1) first one on site for proper branch opening and last to leave to ensure end of day is complete, 2) develop plans for the branch daily, 3) coordinate and ensure branch involvement in bank/product promotions.

Protects bank assets by 1) making sound decisions daily on non-sufficient fund deposit accounts, 2) working toward elimination of charge-off deposit accounts, 3) assessing risk to ensure all transactions executed by branch personnel are within bank policy.

Ensures branch deposit goals are met/exceeded as well as branch referral goals to include investment, mortgage, and treasury management.

Ensures cross-sell goals are met/exceeded and bank products and services are sold as appropriate to customer needs.

Attends/on time for all branch manager/personal banker meetings, conference calls and share ideas.

Strong sales-ability representing the bank through community involvement and promotion of the bank.

Ability to meet loan goals using inside and outside of the bank calling efforts to target potential customers and service existing customers.

Interviews applicant and requests specified information for loan application.

Requests applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to loan applicant's evaluation.

Analyzes applicant financial status, credit, banking status, and other information to determine feasibility of granting loan.

Corresponds with or interviews applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.

Compiles loan package and facilitates negotiation of loan structure with applicant, including fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms.

Approves loan within specified limits or refers loan to loan committee for approval.

Generates and screens leads following establishment policies and procedures to attain new business relationships and product sales.

Promotes and cross-sells other establishment products and services as appropriate to customer requirements, such as remote deposit capture, business checking, business credit card, and letters of credit.

Compiles and analyzes market research data to develop or increase the competitiveness of current product and services offering.

Identifies and analyzes potential loan markets to develop prospects for establishment product and services offerings.

Provides loan data to support marketing and sales promotion programs.

Responds to customer information requests or inquiries promptly.

Ensures accuracy and performance of loan administration and processes, such as receipt of applications from prospective applicants, completeness of loan packages, and timely processing, funding, and closing of committed loans.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma with bachelors degree in Business or Finance with five years lending experience in the financial industry preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

Ability to calculate figures.

Ability to apply concepts of basic financial reports.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret s variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet Software and Word Processing Software.
