Design, develop, and maintain large scale web and API applications on AWS focusing on performance, scalability and stability.Integrate our systems with core Amazon services for e-commerce, security, etc.Contribute to ideating new services to support products and initiatives across our AWS Learning Services space.Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, and identify opportunities to improve business processes through software automation.Collaborate on our technology roadmap, turning visions into reality.Participate in Agile development.On-Call Responsibility: This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every two months. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don’t get paged for the same issue twice.About The Team

3+ years of non-professional software development experience.2+ years of non-design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.Experience programming with at least one software programming language.Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. this link .Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
