Our culture fosters excellence both personally and professionally and promotes development that leads to continued success.About the OpportunityThe Vice President, Finance is accountable for the financial planning, reporting and analysis for Pennant Services’ affiliated operating entities. The Vice President, Finance will play a pivotal role in ensuring strong financial discipline and analysis is in place to support the decision making across each operation and in supporting the performance goals of the Pennant Group. This role will be based out of one of our service centers in Boise, ID, Salt Lake City, UT or Hartford, CT and will report to the Chief Financial Officer. This role will be responsible for the oversight and growth of the Pennant FP&A team.The successful candidate for the role will have a strong track record of financial reporting and analysis, process improvement, interaction with senior operational and financial management, and excellent critical thinking, analytical, collaboration, presentation, & communication skills. The ideal candidate will bring a collaborative, problem-solving mindset to a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and have a passion for process improvements and team leadership and development.Responsibilities:Preparation and consolidation of the annual Budget and Forecast processes with primary focus on providing financial analysis and insightsTrack performance relative to budgets and forecasts, review actual results and concisely explain variances against budgets and forecasts based on commercial and operating driversPrepare timely and accurate monthly/quarterly financial results presentations that provide important insights and participate in executive review meetings

Develop and optimize reports that provide actionable insight into the levers of the businessSupport management with ad hoc financial, market, and trend analyses to prioritize strategic initiatives or investment decisions

Provide day-to-day business and financial partnership with operational leaders and other service center leaders.Develop and manage team members including establishing priorities, setting objectives, and providing guidance and feedbackDevelop and streamline FP&A processes to mitigate risk and find value within the businessEvaluate acquisition opportunities and develop proformas for all acquired operations and provide timely reporting on operational results against proformas.Prepare long range financial plan used by business in managing long range credit and equity planningPartner with accounting team in preparation of quarterly investor deck, supporting materials and communications around financial and operating performance for the purpose of financial reportingDevelopment and updating of any relevant annual financial targets, including annual guidance.Collaborate with the finance team to analyze financial performance, trends, and variances.Partner with IT, and third-party providers as needed, to implement financial planning and analysis systems that meet the needs of the team and organization.Team Management:Possess a high degree of passion to provide exceptional accounting customer service to Pennant’s operations teams and practices.Lead a high-performing, geographically dispersed team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.Mentor and provide professional development opportunities to team members, including the execution of individual development plans.Institute a learning culture within the finance team, with an emphasis on continuous improvement.Build-out of a high performing finance organization to ensure excellent execution of responsibilities.Recruit and retain a results driven team that is effective in partnering field operations and other service center teams.Key Qualifications:10+ years of relevant professional experience including corporate finance, consulting, or similar analytical role5+ years of management experience, including managing, developing and leading a teamBachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; Master’s degree and/or MBA preferredExceptional financial modeling skills in Excel, including the ability to drive process optimization using ExcelExcellent leadership skills with experience managing a finance organization in a complex, multi-site company.
