Data Engineer - Fabric Engineer

Long term contract position with a major financial client in Newark, NJ.2-3 days per week onsite are required.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing conceptsExperience with cloud-based data migrationDatabase management experience (MSSQL, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Synapse)Leveraged and implemented Shortcuts across workspaces to aggregate the data between different sourcesImplemented the different types of security for lakehouses and data warehouses i.e. RLS/CLS/OLSETL tool experience (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Power BI Dataflow)Bitbucket / Jenkins / GIT Integration using Azure Repos for the Source Control.
Required Skills:10+ years of data engineering experience5+ years of experience in building data and analytics platform focused on Azure data and analytics solutions5+ years of programming experience in Python/PysparkMust have experience in Microsoft Fabric and implemented at least 2 major initiatives.Built multiple semantic models in Fabric leveraging Direct Lake query modeExperience in Azure services such as:Azure SQL DatabaseAzure Data FactoryAzure Synapse AnalyticsAzure Data LakeNotebooks
Preferred Certifications:MCSEAzure Data Engineer AssociateMicrosoft Fabric Analytics Architect / Engineer Associate
