ASSA ABLOY is growing and there has never been a more exciting time to join us! We have created a brand-new position entitled Director of Accounting and Financial Analysis. This position will report directly to our Vice President of Finance and work closely with the Door Group Finance team and business leaders.

What would you do as our Director of Accounting and Financial Analysis?

You will play an integral role ensuring the financial health and strategic direction by diving into the financial data, identifying potential risks and uncovering opportunities for enhancing performance and growth. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in several distinct areas of Finance including: Reporting and Compliance, Analysis, Strategic Planning, Team Development, and Process Improvement.

You will also:

Drive operational excellence by overseeing and maintaining the integrity and accuracy of critical financial data.

Ensure proficiency and compliance of critical month and year end accounting functions and processes.

Review and evaluate financial reports such as balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, etc. for capital investment, pricing, and possible cost reductions.

Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing finance and reporting systems and protocols and recommend improvements.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.

Help to develop and mentor team members.

Present financial information and insights to business leaders and stakeholders. This may involve preparing and delivering reports, presentations, and dashboards.

Perform other duties and special projects as requested by the Door Group President and Vice President of Finance.

Comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.

The skills and experience we're looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis, as well as several years of experience within a leadership role.

Demonstrated track record of employing IFRS (international financial reporting standards).

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications especially Excel, Power BI, Word, and PowerPoint.

Proficiency in financial analysis tools, accounting software, and platforms such as ERP systems, JD Edwards, and Hyperion are preferred.

Previous experience working cross-functionally and with decentralized finance teams.

Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

High level of integrity with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize projects under tight time deadlines.
