This position is responsible for providing strategic financial and operational support to our US field offices and the Home Office Finance team. You will act as a bridge between local teams and central leadership, ensuring efficient communication, streamlined processes, and effective financial management.

Role & Responsibilities

Finance & Operations Expertise: Provide hands-on support to US field offices, particularly those with limited resources or staff;Create and deliver training programs on finance and operations for staff and office directors;Integrate financial processes and communication across different departments;Ensure efficient use of organizational financial tools and resources by US Programs teams;Review and assist in developing financial policies and procedures;Identify and monitor potential financial risks in field offices, ensuring compliance and sound expense control;Support the budgeting process and participate in quarterly review meetings with field offices to ensure grant compliance.

Collaboration & Leadership:Partner with US field offices, leadership, and Corporate Finance to address financial challenges and implement solutions;Participate in the hiring, training, and onboarding of new finance staff in field offices;Foster a collaborative environment and motivate continuous improvement of financial practices;Effectively communicate complex financial information to non-finance professionals.

Technical Skills & Compliance:Proficient in accounting, finance, or grants management principles;Strong understanding of US non-profit and INGO business regulations;Adept at data analysis and utilizing financial software, including MS Excel and MS PowerBi;Experience working with Federal or State Funding.

Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesExperience with working with finance in refugee resettlement or like programming.Experience working with remote and cross-cultural teams.Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with intermediate Excel skills.Commitment to World Relief's mission, vision, and values.Ability to work independently, manage diverse stakeholders, and achieve results.

RequirementsMature and personal Christian faith.Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief.Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities.Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Relief's Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document.5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or grants management.Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.Travel within the US (approx. 25%) required - Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

Salary:

$65,000 - $70,000 a year

World Relief also offers hybrid and remote schedules for limited positions.• Great lengths of time working on computer, reading from computer screen, entering information, standing at copier or fax machine, and some time on the phone or in virtual meetings may be required.• Year-end archiving activities involve repeated lifting and bending.• Physical, emotional and intellectual demands.• Equipment used: Employee computer (desktop or laptop), printer, and copier.
