Some travel may be required, embarked at sea overnightREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Must be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.CITIZENSHIP:
Current U.S. Citizenship Required.CERTIFICATIONS:
Prefer Sys Admin certification or similar experience.EDUCATION:
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or similar field. Will accept significant experience in lieu of degree.Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Network technician; LINUX experience is required.Experience administering, operating, and maintaining computer networks.Experience with running and deploying virtual machines.2 years' experience with LINUX.Ability to troubleshoot networking issues in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Ability to perform network engineering duties at-sea.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Experience with C++ and PYTHON.Experience with shipboard applications of computer networks.Formal LINUX network Systems Administrator certification.Cyber security certification.Will consider candidates with significant experience in lieu of B.S. degree.RESPONSIBILITIES
Configure and update LINUX-based networks.Install, update and deploy software on LINUX-based systems.Troubleshoot and repair network problems.Assist with at-sea testing of networks on military vessels.Administer user accounts.SALARY RANGE:

$65,000 - $80,000
