In addition to our New York headquarters and Office of Policy and Diplomatic Affairs in Washington, D.C., AJC has offices across the U.S. and around the globe and maintains partnerships with Jewish communities worldwide.The Coordinator supports the work of the Department of Policy and Political Affairs, including diplomatic engagement, legislative and political outreach, and efforts to address domestic antisemitism. The Coordinator reports to, and provides support to, the Assistant Director, Policy and Political Affairs.The Coordinator does this while adhering to AJC's core values:

Respect, Teamwork, Integrity, Excellence, and Accountability.Responsibilities Include:Diplomatic:Ensure diplomatic contact lists are updated.Prepare and assist in the sending of invitations and correspondence.Assist in the preparation of diplomatic briefing papers and diplomatic research.Assist in the planning and logistics of diplomatic missions.Legislative and Political:Ensure tracking of political meetings and connections, both in D.C. and around the country.Assist in the monitoring of congressional committee hearings, legislation, and other legislative efforts pertinent to AJC’s mission.Manage the research and development of background materials on legislation, policy initiatives, and elected officials.Help coordinate the planning and execution of National Policy Steering Committee meetings and other virtual and in-person lay gatherings.Ensure effective and consistent project management for antisemitism trainings.Assist in data management and organization from AJC’s annual national surveys.Aid in the implementation of virtual antisemitism trainings.Department-wide:Coordinate and set-up internal and external meetings.Provide general administrative support to the Chief Policy and Political Affairs Officer and other senior staff.Assist with virtual and in-person meetings and events – invitation preparation, logistics, catering, location, etc.Qualifications:Experience working with government in an advocacy organization, in a lobbying capacity, in political campaigns, or in national organizing.Bachelor's degree, with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience;Team player who collaborates seamlessly with colleagues and partners, strong interpersonal skills;Capacity to speak with a nonpartisan voice, echoing AJC’s thoughtful approach;Proven success in crafting and implementing research projects and programs;Interest and fluency in key AJC issues, including promoting Israel’s place in the world, combating antisemitism, American pluralism, hate crimes, American global leadership, and foreign policy;Ability to work effectively under pressure and follow through on agreed-upon initiatives;Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment;Superior written and verbal communication skills;A demonstrated commitment to the highest ethical standards and values consistent with those of AJC.Compensation and Benefits:Medical, vision, and dental plansFlexible Spending Account optionsGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO) - 10 vacation days per year, that increases with continued employmentPaid Holidays (many Federal and major Jewish Holidays)403(b) participation, after one year of employmentAJC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $50,000, depending on relevant experience.
