As we continue to evolve the mobile product suite, we have a need for a software engineer to focus on evolving our mobile testing processes and tools. This engineer will be responsible for advancing our manual and automated testing practices/processes/tools.Qualified candidates will understand the mobile app release process and have proven experience working with development teams and a variety of tools/environments/dependent services that can drive testing needs for impacted mobile apps. They will also have a firm understanding of Android and iOS mobile apps at State Farm and the various infrastructures and tools used to update, test, and build mobile apps.Proven ability to drive mobile automation strategy end-to-end, including planning, implementation, and maintenance.Experience addressing mobile-specific testing challenges, such as varying device configurations, screen sizes, and OS versions.Demonstrated success in implementing and maintaining mobile test automation suites for both iOS and Android platforms.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mobile automation issues.Experience leading and mentoring a team of test resources.Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mobile automation tools and processes.Proven ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for mobile automation frameworks and processes.Expertise in using automation to perform health checks on applications and environments, with the capability to troubleshoot as needed.Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle and agile methodologies.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Qualifications

Competitive candidates must have the required skills listed below:Proficiency with cloud-based device testing platforms, particularly Perfecto, and familiarity with others.Strong with Git for version control system.In-depth knowledge of Cucumber and other TDD frameworks.Extensive experience with Appium and other mobile automation frameworks.Preferred skills:Strong understanding of mobile CI/CD pipelines and integration with GitLab.Familiarity with build tools (e.g., Gradle, Maven).Familiarity with mobile app development languages and environments (e.g., Swift, Kotlin).Familiarity with Tosca testing tool.
