With over 19,000 staff conducting operations in more than 90 countries, Fortrea is transforming drug and device development for partners and patients across the globe.We are seeking a candidate with experience in SEC reporting and a strong technical accounting background in US GAAP, SOX compliance, and stock-based compensation, along with a solid understanding of M&A, tax and internal audit. Your initial objectives will be to understand our mission, business and strategic goals, develop a relationship with our corporate partners and evaluate our accounting processes to identify opportunities to enhance the way we conduct business.Role and ResponsibilitiesDrive best practices for external reporting, day-to-day accounting operations and SOX complianceMaintain the quarterly and annual reporting timetable and monitor progress against milestones by providing timely and accurate data and communicationManage the drafting, preparation, tie-outs and financial statement review of quarterly filings, including XBRL, in addition to other public filings, such as registration statements, proxy statements and 8K'sAssist with technical accounting research and analysis of accounting matters, and prepare position memos as needed in cooperation with the Accounting and Controllership teamEnsure the establishment of accounting policies and partner with stakeholders to operationalize the procedures with respect to new accounting pronouncementsPartner with corporate leaders to implement new reporting requirements including, but not limited, to ESG reportingAssist with the financial statement review and preparation processesSupport earnings releases and other investor communicationsSupport business owners and management in the continuous review and monitoring of the enterprise risk management activitiesSupport the Company's Disclosure Committee to ensure timely and transparent communications to them on external filings and their oversight responsibilitiesManage accounting for all equity-based transactions, including stock-based compensation for compliance with ASC 718Assist with evaluating and managing accounting and operating system capabilities for financial reporting as well other key internal processesProvide guidance to finance team members, ensuring transactions are accounted for correctly and documented accordinglyLead various process improvement initiatives to eliminate redundancies and improve efficiencyAssist in special accounting and finance projects on an ad-hoc basisCollaborate with FP&A to prepare appropriate commentary or explanations relating to questions from management, budget variances, etc.Supervise, manage and develop accounting staffRequirementsBachelor or higher degree in accounting or financeA minimum of 10 year's experience of financial accounting, SEC reporting, technical accounting and/or public accountingA minimum of 3 years leading SEC reporting and technical accounting in a corporate environmentCPA and Big Four/National Accounting Firm experience highly preferredDemonstrated knowledge and experience researching and documenting accounting guidance and the accounting treatment of issuesStrong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify issues, seek information and impacts, and problem-solveOutstanding organizational and project management skills with experience managing multiple assignments simultaneously while setting and keeping deadlinesExcellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including written and verbal communication, especially in developing positions and presenting to management, auditors, and non-accounting stakeholdersDemonstrated professional commitment, with a service mindset, initiative, accountability, and ownership of assignmentsAbility to work independently, with limited required direction and guidanceDemonstrated career progressionDemonstrate integrity and honesty and model ethical behavior and core values of the companyPay Range:

$180,000-$215,000 base USDBenefits:
