Must be willing to work Pacific Hours.As a successful candidate, you will:The Quality Data Analyst is responsible for providing reporting and analytical project management and coordination related to the Quality, Risk and Regulatory Management department. This role includes:Providing accurate, reliable, courteous, and timely reports, dashboards, and services that assist clinicians in improving the quality and flow of care provided to our patients.Responsible for the development, evaluation, and ongoing improvement of physician and departmental dashboards and scorecards.Using the Enterprise Data Warehouse and managing the data mart for Quality through SQL table and stored procedure creation, view creation, and query manipulation.Participating in enterprise-level metadata, master data management, and data governance initiatives.Utilizing advanced data and statistical principles to develop and analyze complex systems and design reports, dashboards (including Key Performance Indicators), charts, and models.Assembling and distilling data from multiple sources, analyzing and identifying trends and variability specific to clinical operations.Building views, tables, and stored procedures in SQL, and performing advanced query design and manipulation.Obtaining benchmarking data for specific metrics using the Vizient database, public reporting sites, and other relevant sources.Integrating evidence-based guidelines into analytical reports.Managing the input, throughput, and output of data for quality improvement for the Clinical Quality and Healthcare Improvement Program.Using computer-based resources to analyze and report on external factors affecting healthcare.Utilizing Lean methodology, tools, and techniques as an active participant on performance improvement teams.Providing weekly updates on data/dashboards to both the Manager of Quality Analytics and the Project Manager of the Clinical Quality and Healthcare Improvement Program.Performing systems maintenance for existing Quality, Risk, and Regulatory Management programs and databases.Utilizing specialized software for statistical analysis and educating others in its use and interpretation.Evaluating automated systems for Quality, Risk, Patient Safety, and Regulatory programs to improve efficiencies.Meeting with users to develop best practices and mentor reporters to effectively analyze events.Facilitating discussions around the creation of new metrics and modifications of existing metrics.Participating in the design, development, and database management for performance improvement.Performing other related duties as assigned or requested.Your qualifications should include:BA/BS in healthcare, business, or IT-related field or equivalent work experience.Three to five years of analytics-related experience.Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Access.Experience with relational databases and SQL - table, view, and stored procedure build and creation.City of Hope is an equal opportunity employer.
