This purpose guides our commitment to deliver enhanced human-centric health care for a rapidly changing world.Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled frontend-focused Staff Software Engineer to join our modernization team focused on transforming the legacy CVS pharmacy systems into a cutting-edge, cloud-native platform hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As part of the team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing user interfaces that enhance the experience related to the patient and drug domains. You will work closely with backend and design teams to create responsive, scalable, and maintainable frontend applications using modern frameworks like Angular and React.ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and implementation of user interfaces using Angular, React, and other modern frontend technologies.Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend developers, and product managers to build intuitive, responsive, and accessible web applications.Develop scalable frontend components with a focus on reusability, performance, and maintainability.Integrate REST APIs and GraphQL endpoints into frontend applications, ensuring efficient data retrieval and seamless user experiences.Drive the adoption of modern frontend best practices, including component-driven development, state management, and modular architecture.Optimize application performance through code reviews, profiling, and continuous refactoring.Implement comprehensive testing strategies using frameworks like Jest, Jasmine, or Cypress to ensure high-quality, bug-free software.Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and champion best practices in frontend development and testing.Drive the adoption of CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications, automating the build, testing and deployment process.Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, and proactively propose new approaches to improve our technology stack.Required Qualifications4+ years of experience working with state management libraries like Redux, NgRx, or similar.3+ years of experience integrating REST APIs and GraphQL endpoints into frontend applications.3+ years of experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Jasmine, or Cypress.2+ years of experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.Preferred QualificationsExperience with modern frontend architecture patterns, such as micro-frontends, component-driven-development, and modular design.Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset for debugging and optimizing frontend performance.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional, agile teams.EducationBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience).Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is: $118,450.00 - $260,590.00.
