LHH is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented contract Senior Accountant with a strong background in the manufacturing industry for our client near Thousand Oaks! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in ERP systems, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Accurately manage and update cost accounting records, ensuring all data is current and reflective of operational performance.Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, providing insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency and overall financial performance.Work closely with the operations team to reconcile and analyze Purchase Orders on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies.Assist in the month-end closing process, including preparing necessary journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely completion of financial statements.Contribute to the development and enhancement of a comprehensive reporting package that provides meaningful insights to management.Assist in the creation and implementation of accounting policies, as well as the reconciliation of general ledger accounts to ensure compliance and accuracy.Participate in and support special projects as assigned by management, such as inventory tracking, process improvement initiatives, and ad-hoc financial analysis.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in cost accounting, with a strong understanding of cost structures and financial analysis.Experience with ledger-based ERP systems is required; familiarity with Oracle Fusion is highly desirable.Demonstrated exposure to full-cycle accounting processes, including month-end close, annual audits, budgeting, and financial reporting.Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to perform complex data analysis, pivot tables, and financial modeling.Meticulous and detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, interpret data, and make sound recommendations.Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Details:

$40.00 to $43.00 per hour
