Perform and/or manage process/hardware characterization in development and CIP projects.Operate diagnostic and data acquisition equipment.Analyze data and identify root cause and improvement path.Work closely with other functional teams in identifying improvement path and implementing solutions at system/subsystem level in development/CIP projects.Publish results internally and externally.Support transfer of solutions to field and activities for key customer account, which may require periodic travels domestic and international (20%) to customer sites.Produces detailed mechanical layouts to facilitate technology development and decision making.Provides instruction to other engineers and designers to accommodate all phases of design cycle.Procures and tracks unreleased materials for projects as required.Accommodates technical presentations to design review audiences.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:10+ years’ experience in the semiconductor and semiconductor capital equipment industry.7+ years’ direct experience in the following: Product development/release processes, Semiconductor process and equipment characterization/metrology, productivity improvement, customer support.BS/MS in engineering fields such as mechanical, electrical, chemical, or physical sciences such as physics, materials science, etc. Advanced degrees are preferred.Must have a good working knowledge of process equipment and various subsystems.Skilled in process equipment operation, device and material characterization, diagnostic and metrology tools, failure analysis, test procedure setup.Familiarity with SAP and JMP are highly beneficial.Lifting up to 30 pounds may be required.Job Info
