Using advanced technology, CRC’s workforce focuses on safely and responsibly supplying affordable energy for California by Californians.The CRC Tax Department is seeking to fill a full time Senior Income Tax Accountant position working out of our Santa Clarita, CA office.The base annual salary for this posted position is reasonably expected to range from $95K to $115K, with a target annual bonus of 10% of base salary. Your actual level and base salary, however, will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Benefits Include:

Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with Match, Paid holidays, FSA, HSAJOB SUMMARYThe Senior Income Tax Accountant position reports to the Senior Tax Manager. This position will be responsible for assisting in various corporate tax matters including income tax compliance, planning, provision, sales and use and tax controversy. Knowledge of systems including Oracle and CorpTax is beneficial. Good communication skills are necessary for interaction with senior level management, operational personnel, vendors and tax authorities.Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsible for preparation of U.S. federal and California income tax returns.Preparation of Forms 1042, Annual Withholding Tax Returns for U.S. Source Income.Preparation of U.S. federal and California stock basis and earnings & profits calculations.Preparation of the quarterly and annual income tax provision.Preparation of quarterly Form 720 excise tax returns.Prioritizing multiple tasks and meet multiple deadlines.Assisting in tax audits as needed. Identify and help develop new audit controls/processes upon completion of audits.Managing tax projects related to business initiatives such as tax credits, accounting method analysis, tax reform and structuring.Assist in tax consulting and research.Assist outside consultants and services providers related to various income tax matters such as tax credit studies and partnership tax return preparation.Assist on all project deliverables related to future software/system implementation.Assist in preparing presentation material and conducting income tax training to corporate personnel in various departments.QualificationsRequired B.S. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.Three (3) or more years of experience working on corporate tax matters, public accounting experience is preferred.Upstream oil and gas industry experience preferred.Demonstrated project management experience.CPA license preferred.Strong communication, planning and organization skills.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment.Strong outgoing interpersonal skills working collaboratively with other departments.Strong technical skills and highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient to advanced skills with Excel, Access, and other Microsoft Office tools.Some understanding of the end-to-end financial accounting and business process flows from integrated financial system(s) to applications.
