We are dedicated to maintaining and improving the health of the people in our community through an integrated health delivery system that provides high quality care to all.Job Specifics:Position will manage and treat patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary hypertension (PH), and other conditions of the lung.Position involves both inpatient consults and outpatient clinic hours.Collaborative, supportive team comprised of physicians, advanced practice providers, pulmonary function technicians, medical assistants, and administrative support staff.Monday through Friday with some weekend requirements.Adult or acute care certified nurse practitioner or physician assistant.Comprehensive benefits package, which includes malpractice with tail and CME.Requirements:Education & Training: Master of Science degree with completion of an approved nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.National certification in the area specialty and licensed by the Maryland Board of Nursing. NPI number, DEA, and CDS required. BLS and ACLS required.Skills & Abilities:Demonstrate skills to handle multiple priorities.Work independently and take initiative in achieving goals.Maintain confidentiality with patient and team member information.Strong clinical practice and judgment.Effective decision-making and problem-solving.Crisis management.Organizing work with attention to detail and follow through.Demonstrate highly effective verbal communication skills required to interact with patients, family members, departmental units, medical and nursing staff.Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan and the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his or her population-specific and age-specific needs.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
