Information Systems Security Officer
(ISSO) with demonstrated experience to support the development phase of a project relative to software supporting aircraft and weapons systems. This position will provide onsite support at Patuxent River NAS in southern Maryland.As the Information Systems Security Officer, you will join a team of highly driven, supportive, and skilled professionals engaged in supporting across the NAVAIR community.Primary responsibilities for the Information Systems Security Officer include:Plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information systemsEnsure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructureRespond to computer security breaches and virusesProvide maintenance and creation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation packagesRequired Skills and Experience:Clearance required: SecretBachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
An associate’s and 4 additional years of experience, or 6 additional years may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
At least five (5) years of experience in Information Assurance related fieldThorough knowledge of NIST 800-53 controls/Risk Management Framework (RMF) Accreditation (assessment and authorization) ProcessSecurity + or equivalent DOD INST 8570 compliant certification requiredDesired Qualifications:Experience with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), Evaluate-STIG, and eMASSterStrong ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations
